The Early Years

Preet Banerjee was born in Jaipur, India but raised in Canada from before he could walk, talk or use a calculator. During his elementary school years he was part of the championship winning team for the 1987 Junior Math Challenge for the city of London, Ontario at the age of 10. Just like Michael Jordan, he failed to make the cut for his high school basketball team but alas, that is where the similarities end as Preet decided to branch off into academia by enrolling at the University of Toronto. During the summers he worked as a computer software tester and later at an automotive repair shop, and also spent some time working with a coroner assisting and partially performing human autopsies. He graduated with a Specialist Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience in 2001 and promptly enrolled in the Bridgestone Racing Academy’s Race Driver and Race Mechanic Training Program to pursue his love of auto racing. He graduated with advanced standing and returned to the Academy to act as Operations Manager and as one of the Academy’s Race Driving Instructors.

Passion For Finance

After retiring from auto racing at the age of 26, Preet re-acquainted himself with his first love, the love of numbers, by entering the financial services as a financial advisor. He experienced tremendous success and notoriety by publishing his first book, RRSPs: The Definitive Guide to Registered Retirement Savings Plans which received accolades from The National Post, Canadian Business Online, and other publications. He is now regularly
quoted and sought after as an authority on personal finance for interviews in the mainstream media.
