I would have loved to see a Group B rally! And yes, a second is a lifetime. I remember feeling like I would offer my left leg for those last 2/10ths which was the difference between mid-pack and a podium. Over 20 laps (or more) it really adds up (I always ran sprint style races with no pitstops) - that would be a 4 second difference over that distance. I actually linked to that very same Ariel Atom video in a previous edition of Lap of the Blogs - love anything with Jeremy Clarkson. I might get a chance to test a newer F2000 in a few weeks, and I will try to bring a camera and make my own video for a future lap of the blogs. :) @TKO – lucky guy! I grew up spectating Rally Racing in Europe, was even fortunate to see 2 Group B races as a kid. Isn't it amazing what a split second equates to on the race track. For instance in Drag Racing each .1 second is equal to a car length. Please folks keep it safe and don't street race. YouTube is jam packed with racing videos, some are better than others though.
