		<description>I think people in or near retirement age shouldn&#039;t panic given the turmoil of the stock markets.  If your employer does not offer help, consider getting professional advice. Look for a fee-based financial planner. That way, you understand exactly how they are compensated and you can make sure their interests are highly aligned with your own.</description>

		<description>I had heard there were different elements of compensation such as for net new deposits (thus eliminating the growth element of the compensation), for client retention (don&#039;t know how that&#039;s calculated), etc.  Ever heard about this?  Also, how much of this compensation is deferred, etc?  I would expect compensation deferral would be a pretty strong producer retention tactic.  As somebody planning to make an offer to an advisor I was hoping to do something competitive yet more client-aligned.</description>
