We Are Live On The Scene!

Welcome to the new WhereDoesAllMyMoneyGo.com! I was able to upgrade the site more smoothly than I thought so I’m proud to announce that regularly scheduled posting will start right back up again. There are a few new features that I’d like to point out:

  1. You can now subscribe to comments (so you have the option to get an email when someone replies to your comments instead of having to check back all the time just to see)
  2. You can use Gravatars (Globally Recognized Avatars) which means your picture will appear beside any comments you leave. Click here to sign up – it’s free, instant and instantly works on other sites with Gravatar support.
  3. Cleaner and (hopefully) more aesthetic site design.

I’ll be adding new features in as I figure them out, and if anyone has suggestions by all means let me know. Don’t forget to check out the Gravatar site and remember you don’t have to use a mugshot if you want to remain anonymous, you can use a picture of a dollar bill or something… :)

    New site looks great!!

One suggestion. How about adding the Archives section next to the Featured | General | Uncategorized sections at the top of the page? Otherwise it’s hidden on the right-side of the page and not easily accessible when looking back at your older quality posts.

Hi PC – thanks for the suggestion. I will see if I can figure out how to do that (my CSS programming skills range between non-existent to incompetent). :) If I can manage it easily, I’ll certainly implement that change as it is a very good observation. If I can’t figure it out, I’ll unfortunately have to put it on the back burner until I finish tweaking things and re-assigning the categories and thumbnails, etc.

Hi Preet, I liked the new layout. Also, wordpress is much better and of course you’re going to add some good plugins :)

I like the way your new site looks. I hope you didn’t loose any links!

Thanks guys, so far so good with the links (I’ve tried clicking on some links to the site from the other blogs and I think I managed to get 99% of them switched over).

    Hi Preet,
I am amazed by your new layout. It looks really nice. I see you removed my link. Do you want to keep still our linking?

  • Preet

@vlada: Ooops! It didn’t survive the migration, but is up and running now – sorry about that.

no problem. That’s pity I am hosted on blogger and can’t go live with such a nice template.

I was on a different platform as well, you should be able to migrate it. It will take some time to figure it out, but you can export your journal content into a format that wordpress understands, and then just pick (or buy) a template. This one was eighty bucks – well worth the price of admission – especially with all the support the author provides.
